One day, When I was searching good places for my daughter to get new hands-on experiences, I came across one place called KEIO RAIL-LAND.
They apparently offer some activities that would appeal to kids such as a train driving experience, playing with train toys, and riding mini-trains around the tracks.
They also had kind of indoor playground where kids could pretend they were trains and crossed a railroad bridge and then went down the slide.
Since we got there around 1 PM, there was only one available slot left for the playground and the area where kids could play with train toys, It started around 5:00 PM, so we ended up giving up on those activities and decided to do other activities.
First, we took a picture with a panel that had a train painted on it, since there wasn’t that crowded in the facility, we could take a picture without waiting.
And then, we went to an activity where we could try operating train doors and making announcements on the train, my daughter was fascinated to be inside a train driver’s cab for the first time and really enjoyed it.
There was also a large scale, detailed diorama with towns, buildings, nature, and rail tracks, we could start and stop trains using levers.
We could also enjoy lunch on the terrace on the second floor, although they didn’t offer food, we could bring our own food and eat them there.
In another facility, There was a train small enough for kids to straddle, and it actually ran around the track. My three-year-old daughter really liked it, and she rode it twise.
After enjoying that, we went back to the first area, and tried a machine with a screen in front of it, we got to experience driving while watching the screen, we let my daughter do this game, but it seems to be fun even for adults.
I want to get there earlier next time and enjoy activities we couldn’t try this time.
Thank you for reading all the way through.
